Book a hard waste collection

We offer one free Hard Waste collection;

• Per financial year,
• Per residential address,
• For one cubic metre,
• For City of Melbourne residents only.

Commercial or retail addresses are not entitled to a Hard Waste collection.

High rise residents

If you live in a high rise building, you can ask your building manager to book a collection for you.

Bookings are essential and dates are made available 2 months in advance.

Before you book in a hard waste collection, consider donating, selling or giving away items that are in good condition and checking what can and cannot be placed out for collection. Please ensure e-waste items are separated, and lithium batteries are removed from e-waste items.

Collection location

On the day before hard waste collection, items must be placed on the kerbside or in an accessible location for the hard waste collection trucks. Under no circumstances will we enter your private property boundary to collect your items.
